Tiffany Brown has made it her life's mission to spread love, positivity, and inspiration to other victims by providing education and spreading awareness about the severity of domestic violence and sexual assault. Originally from Washington, DC, Tiffany migrated to Charlotte, NC in 2005 to provide care for her late father, Mr. Fred Brown. While residing in the Carolinas, Tiffany obtained a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Kaplan University in 2012. Tiffany is currently completing her Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Walden University with the intent of using her education to support her overall mission.
Tiffany Brown is a dedicated wife, loving mother and loyal friend to those who know her best. Tiffany also serves the community as a youth counselor, advocate and inspirational speaker. Tiffany began speaking to audiences while attending Prince George's County Community College, speaking at various student forums about her life experiences. Tiffany's "talks" and public speeches not only helped the listeners better cope and gain a better understanding of their own experiences, but also assisted her along her own journey as a survivor.
In 2016 Tiffany established the Butterfly Visions Project (BVP), an organization dedicated to providing support services, healing workshops, and group sessions to victims and survivors of domestic violence as well as sexual assault. Over the years BVP has helped countless families and victims, and continues to provide assistance to more people in need by partnering with other organizations such as Safe Alliance, Heal Charlotte, Renewed Inspiration, Loving Yourself No More Abuse and Gracious Hands Transitional Housing, to name a few. Between 2017-2020, Tiffany’s organization, the Butterfly Visions Project, was awarded three County grants to provide emergency shelter to victims of domestic violence. In 2018, Tiffany started the Speak Up and Inspire Series Podcast to provide a platform for survivors, advocates and community leaders to share their mission and purpose for the community and interviewed over ninety leaders to support their various causes.
Furthering her work and advocacy for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, Tiffany Brown published her first book in 2018 titled Reality Check: A Survivor's Story. The book is a fictional book based on the real events surrounding a true to life sexual assault. Although the story and characters are fiction, it serves as inspiration and provides hope for many of those that have endured similar experiences like its heroine, Toni. Reality Check is a beacon of light for those suffering from the darkness of sexual, physical and mental abuse.
Presently, Tiffany continues to speak and serve the community through her various projects, programs, resources, books and speaking engagements. She is focused on what she hopes to be her legacy- mentoring and coaching girls and young ladies as the Founder of The Empress Society, an organization dedicated to the empowerment of girls and women through education, training, coaching, and networking opportunities. Tiffany is currently working on publishing the 2nd book in the Reality Series, Conditions- A Love Story to update Reality Check readers on the life of Melanie, one of the main characters in Reality Check!
Tiffany hopes that through her books she will be able to give hope and inspiration to others by sharing her stories through the lives of the characters that readers will personally be able to relate to.
